Nose Wrinkle

Great information! Now, that definitely is a relief.

Pink on a white Pekignese is probably normal. You can tell more by checking other tender spots on the dog such as the belly, inside of ears, inside of thighs near privates, etc. If these areas are also pink, it's probably the dog's natural color in his wrinkle. You would be more concerned if the wrinkle were reddish, looked inflammed, smelled bad, etc. Hope this helps. Marge G.

Thanks for the information. I had never seen such pink skin since my other pekes have dark masks.

If it does not appear to be sore and looks to just be pigmant, that may be all it is...piment. I know when I pull the wrinkle open on several of mine it looks like baby pink tissues, not sore, but just skin that is not exposed to light and air. I just keep it cleaned and it does not seem to bother them.

Hi I groomed all three Gizmo, Cosmo and Zoe last night. I noticed that Cosmo the white one seemed to have a very pink spot in his wrinkle I wondered if this is normal for a white as I can't see that in Gizmo who is red or Zoe who is Sable. It doesn't smell just very pink in the wrinkle. Thanks Eileen
