Potty Training

[b][i]Leo is a year and a half old. I have noticed that when it is raining out he prefers to have his bowel movements in the house. The preferred room is my office. I feel like I am missing something here. I take him out atleast 4 times a day and then 2 times at night the last being just before bedtime. He will urinate outside when it is raining but will not have any bowel movements outside when it rains. Is this typical peke behavior?

My pekingese is soo picky he wont eat his dog pellets. This has been going on for quite some time so I resorted to giving him other things like chicken, bread, fruits, etc. But now, he is even picky about those things. SOMETIMES I can get him to eat his dog pellets if i handfeed but that it is a rare occasion. I tried putting him on dog pellets again and making him eat from his bowl but he would not eat for 3 days when i did this imagine! i can not continue to starve him just to get him to eat ...

monet my new baby eats her poop when she is on the porch. she won't poop on the puppy pad but directly on the porch. she doesn't eat it if she poops in the house or out in the yard.

i am having a time house breaking her. just when i think we have progress she regresses. i take her out on a regular basis and watch her. but when i am washing dishes she will sometimes sneak behind one of the end table in the living room and poop - then when i come in she brings it out to me like she is ...

i am going to pick your brains again. y'all have great ideas. we are hopefully, getting leo a sister from the same breeder later this year.(parents will be the same-leo has been neutered). since we know he is stubborn is there any advice on how we should introduce the new puppy to him and into our home so that there is little drama. yes he can be very dramatic. he bosses my brothers golden retriever around.

I gave Cosmo a bath today. Got tons of fur in the brush. I'm afraid I'm going to ruin his show coat since I've never had to groom a peke with such a great coat. I had Milo when the kids were little and took him to the groomers for a puppy cut. I want to keep Cosmo in a show coat. I use a good quality shampoo, cowboy magic conditioner and show sheen to finish it off. Any suggestions to maintain a good coat welcome. Use a pin brush to brush him out. Eileen

Regarding nutrition...how many of you feed raw, how often if it is not the only way you feed and what do you feed? I tried just a few, and not any pekes, on raw this week, but will use it as a supplement, not their entire diet but will eventually give the pekes raw too. So, how about it? Anybody else?

Nose Wrinkle

Hi I groomed all three Gizmo, Cosmo and Zoe last night. I noticed that Cosmo the white one seemed to have a very pink spot in his wrinkle I wondered if this is normal for a white as I can't see that in Gizmo who is red or Zoe who is Sable. It doesn't smell just very pink in the wrinkle. Thanks Eileen
